25 YEARS OF SAVING NEARBY NATURE

Over twenty-five years ago, Northern Virginia Conservation Trust (NVCT) was founded to sustain abundant, thriving, and natural places in our neighborhoods and communities. Since that time, we have protected parks, streams, forests, and farms in both urban and rural settings throughout our fast-growing region of 3 million residents.

During 2019, our 25th anniversary year, we celebrated the unique stories and accomplishments that have defined us while recognizing the work that still needs to be done. Northern Virginia’s lands and waters are some of the most scenic and breathtaking places you will find anywhere, but they face increasing threats from development and climate change every day. That makes the conservation work we do so crucial to sustaining livable and healthy communities in our area for current and future generations. NVCT is proud to be your local land trust and we are as committed as ever to preserving the places you love for all time.
