Jay Sinha is Staff Counsel for Data Privacy and Cybersecurity Compliance at Verizon Enterprise Solutions in Arlington, Virginia. His expertise focuses on ensuring Verizon’s federal government and Fortune 50 receive highly-secure, fully-compliant data protections from Verizon Enterprise unique services. Jay previously served as a cyber privacy analyst at Booz Allen Hamilton’s Federal Privacy Practice, preceded by his time as Special Counsel for Cybersecurity at LRH Group, LLC. Jay first started in his privacy career as an associate attorney in LeClairRyan’s Alexandria office, a 300+ attorney firm based in Richmond, Virginia.
Jay joined the Board of NVCT in 2017, after serving as a volunteer committee member in 2016.
Jay is a Virginia-licensed attorney with a J.D. from William & Mary School of Law, and he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Mary Washington. While at William & Mary, he served as a summer law clerk for Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger (CA). Jay is an alumnus of the Virginia Governor’s Fellow program under Gov. Tim Kaine, and of the UVA Sorensen Institute.
Jay, a life-long Virginian and Arlington County resident, and currently serves on the board of the ACLU of Virginia, and the William & Mary Cyber Conference steering committee. He is currently co-chair of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) D.C. KnowledgeNet Young Privacy Professional chapter.
