Mitch Bonanno, Senior Vice President and Director of Development with Vornado/Charles E. Smith, is a real estate professional with 25 years of experience in the industry. Mr. Bonanno leads the Washington, DC regional development team for Vornado and is responsible for new development, redevelopment, major asset repositioning, strategic acquisitions, and creative place-making for asset groupings.
Mitch has a lifelong love of the outdoors and spending time in nature with his 12-year old twin children. He is a lifetime member and trail patrol volunteer for the Potomac Appalachian Trail Club.
Mitch is a member of the Urban Land Institute, National Association of Industrial and Office Properties, Johns Hopkins University Real Estate Forum, and Washington Real Estate Group. He holds a Master of Science in Real Estate from Johns Hopkins University, as well as Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in civil engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park. Mitch serves on the Executive Committee of the Northern Virginia Conservation Trust as an Arlington County Board appointed representative.
