Land Conservation Specialist
Although his roots are in Georgia, Rentz got a taste of the West while earning a B.S. in geography from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Following a stint with Colorado State Parks, he worked for fourteen years as a project manager with a design-build firm in Northern Virginia. Since obtaining a Master of Natural Resources degree from Virginia Tech in 2013, Rentz has been engaged in local conservation issues and transitioned into the nonprofit world. He’s active with the Virginia Master Naturalist Program, and enjoys traveling and birding in places such as Costa Rica and Vietnam. He lives in Springfield.
