Naturalist Guided Kayak Trips |

When summer comes we trade our shovels for paddles, and launch our popular “Floating Classrooms” kayak tours. Every kayak tour is led by NVCT staff and guided by an experienced naturalist. We see something new and exciting with every trip, including Beavers, Foxes, and Green Herons, as well as old favorites like Ospreys, Great Blue Herons, and Bald Eagles. In the spring and fall we catch the annual bird migrations, and through the summer we learn about everything natural-history related, from edible wetland plants, to the history of Mason Neck peninsula, to why Eels from Bermuda are also native to our local streams.
