Julia Gasink joined NVCT through the Virginia Conservation Fellowship program in the summer of 2021. She is a senior at the University of Mary Washington, majoring in Biology and a certificate in Geographic Information Science.

 

Julia grew up in Newport News, Virginia, and always loved nature, particularly animals. She worked at the Virginia Zoo and volunteered at the Virginia Living Museum, assisting in animal husbandry.

 

Julia maintains a strong belief that preserving natural habitats for plants and animals is necessary to protect species diversity for future generations to enjoy.”
