Dolores Huerta
Bio
Dolores Clara Fernandez Huerta is an American labor leader and civil rights activists who, alongside Cesar Chavez, was responsible for co-founding the Nation Farmworkers Association that has now become the United Farm Workers Committee. Huerta was integral in helping organize the Delano Grape strike in 1965 in California and followed as the lead negotiator in the worker's contract established after the strike. She continues her activism as head of the Dolores Huerta Foundation, which trains community organizers and participation.
